Adelaide heritage walks

Graham Jaunay offers a number of heritage walks hosted by the WEA and others.

They include:

• Adelaide Central East: clerics, clerks and courts
• Adelaide SE Corner: a village within a city
• Adelaide SW Corner: shops, cottages and places of prayer
• Adelaide Torrens Riverbank: swans, bridges & stadium
• Glenelg: settlement to resort
• Hindmarsh: a town on the Torrens
• North Adelaide: the Cathedral precinct
• Port Adelaide: the government precinct
• Semaphore: seaside heritage

You can join a heritage walk by enrolling with the WEA. See the program schedule for the next walk. WEA sponsored walks are conducted on Sunday afternoons.

You can also get together a group of 5–20 and engage Graham Jaunay to undertake a walk.

Each walker will receive a souvenir pamphlet outlining the highlights of the walk. The total cost for such a walk is just $80 plus $2 per person. Thus if 5 people take part it will cost $18 each while if 20 are involved it will be just $6 each! This program is not available on Sundays and public holidays.

You can also arrange an additional session at the end of the walk where walkers gather at the finish for a happy hour. The total cost of such a walk is $300 plus $2 per person and includes food with walkers purchasing their own drinks.
